Here at Parentfile, we’ve found time and again that so many “family treasures” get lost from generation to generation just because no on “asked about them” or “saved them.” Well not any more now that you have a Parentfile! Time to ask your family and see what you discover - family recipes, traditions, stories, “famous” relatives, how your family ended up in America, very old family photos, and more.

Why:

These are the things that are “truly priceless” that should get passed down from generation to generation. Too often these things get lost, misplaced or forgotten. Not anymore because you have a Parentfile!

How:

Send this email to your family and see what family treasures come back for you to add to your Parentfile! Send it to your siblings, parents, cousins, aunts, uncles, in-laws, and anyone else in your family.

Where to Save:

Save the answers in your Parentfile in My Legacy, Family Treasures.

Make it Ongoing:

Add to your calendar on January 1st, and recurring annually, to “Add New Family Treasures Discovered Last Year to My Parentfile.” They could be ones that you uncover or you could send a variation of this email to your family every year.

Functionality Coming in the Future:

Parentfile is currently working on functionality so you can email a link to your family members, they can answer directly on a page that automatically puts it in your Parentfile.
