Create a Message for Your Children Someday When You Die (and Make it Fun!)

What:

Here at Parentfile, we’ve talked a lot about how hard/depressing it is not to be able to say goodbye, or share one last message, when you die. And while it’s not fun to think about, it’s going to happen, and so we’ve created a way to make sure we get to share that message, even thought it’s going to be a long way in the future. And it feels so good to have this message written now just in case!

Why:

Because unfortunately we all die at some point, and it really stinks to not be able to say goodbye, in your own way whatever that is. It could be one sentence on how you want them to live their life, 1 sentence to each child on what they mean to you and why they are special, sharing your 3 most important life lessons, or something else. But writing down a message enables you to do it on your own terms - which means a lot (and really hits home for your children when they receive it).

How:

It’s so simple, and you can do it right now in only a couple minutes, and it will feel so good to have this done.

1. Go in your Parentfile, Settings, Release Form. In that section you will find a box that enables you to write a message.
2. Write something short and sweet - 1 sentence to each child on why the are special, 1 sentence on how you want them to live their life, or even your 3 most important life lessons you hope they take forward into the future.
3. Make sure the box on this page is checked for “Yes” that we can share this message with them and the contents of your Parentfile in the future.
4. That’s it, way to go on writing this message, it’s so meaningful to have saved for them.

Where to Save:

Save the message in your Parentfile in Settings, Release Form.

In the future you will also be able to record a brief video of yourself sharing this message as well, that you can easily and quickly record from your phone…so powerful and meaningful.
